Constant

Like the pulsing Pacific–
this relentless, forceful, curling tidal pipeline,
this constant reception of well-traveled waters
by patient rock and sand and cliff and isle,

Like this indomitable eternal force–
revving steady teal waters into chaotic white explosions,
Erupting along mile after mile
of unseen shore,

Like this lunar heartbeat,
steadfast through eons–
every second an unsurpassed original,
Each collision of ocean against geology
a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of science meets art–
of atoms and forces and gravity and salt and sediment,
a peremptory momentum,
Every moment
millions of years in making,

Like that–
“His mercies endure forever.”
He is roaring truth,
A paradox of peace.

Wrote this on a “ladies day away” this weekend while sitting on Rodeo Beach. Sabbath-ing.

I’m proud. I made a caption. Very big deal. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing with blog features and making things look decent. Meh. đŸ˜‰
