Hi, I’m Tiffany. I’m into thinking, discussing, and reading about what it is to be human. Throwing Jesus into that mix is my favorite. As an English teacher, I get to have conversations about the former on the daily, which is a true joy. As a fan of the separation of church and state, however, I’ve been craving the latter. Therefore, these words.
Being a volunteer leader with Young Life gives me the best of both worlds, but my season of life has me on a brief break from that. This blog is an outlet for thoughts and dialogue on all things related. Its namesake is inspired by an old student of mine who had a cringy penchant for overusing the words “things” and “stuff.” I never had any idea what he was talking about. When I started this blog, I found myself in his boat–unable to explain what it was I hoped to write about. I figure “Things and Stuff” pretty much covers all the stuff.
I hope you connect with a word or two on here, and that I get the opportunity to connect with you. Much love to you as a fellow human being. We all have far more in common than we realize.
On that note, you may also find me writing about gardening, my love for #Five Iron Frenzy and #C.S. Lewis, and my beloved nemeses: #Generalized Anxiety Disorder and #TMJ Disorder.
